Representing a new era in Explorer Yachts, the Amer 42 Explorer has been engineered for global voyages in some of the world’s most demanding environments. Its custom construction features a robust steel hull, lightweight aluminum superstructure, and Ice Class certification. Selective Catalytic Reduction Efficiency
The Amer 42 Explorer is equipped with a twin IPS 2100 configuration, each drive powered by two Volvo Penta D13 engines paired with an IMO III certified Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system. The engines are compatible with HVO 100 renewable fuel, enabling reduced emissions with existing technology. This setup delivers the output of larger engines while maintaining a smaller footprint, supporting the project’s goals of lower fuel burn, reduced emissions, and quieter operation.
