The partnership between Rosenbauer and Volvo Penta spans more than a decade of engineering collaboration. In 2015, Rosenbauer unveiled its first European ARFF prototype powered by Volvo Penta, marking the beginning of a new era in aircraft rescue and firefighting performance. Today, the Rosenbauer Panther 6x6 airport fire truck continues that legacy. Purpose built for rapid response, the Panther uses the Volvo Penta TAD series engine both for propulsion and for powering the high capacity fire pump during stationary operations. Capable of discharging 14,000 litres of extinguishing agent in just over 90 seconds, the Panther’s award winning design has made it one of the world’s most efficient and versatile ARFF vehicles.
