Volvo Penta has announced that it is to redirect further resources to accelerate sustainability development in the area of fossil-free renewable fuels and electric and hybrid technology. This is in line with the ambitions of the Volvo Group and their committment to the Paris Climate Agreement and Science Based Targets initiative. This commitment will see the Volvo Group redirect resources to further develop the Volvo Penta Inboard and Sterndrive product line. In continuing delivery of a unique boating experience for today and tomorrow, this not only includes leveraging the benefits of sustainable technologies but also automation and connectivity to further enhance the unique Volvo Penta Easy Boating philosophy. This redirect of resources will also result in the sales and marketing of Seven Marine outboard engines being placed on hold effective 1st January 2021.
